Outreach Undeserved International Fund Launches Suite of Charity Initiatives

Le Havre has officially announced the first initiatives of its long-awaited charity fund. Link to official charity EP, Harbor to the World, here.

Better Lives Around The World

The Le Havre OUI Fund was founded with one idea in mind - help the world. We have talked to our players, and consulted with our donors. There were a number of issues seen around the globe that were common in these conversations. We are pleased to announce the first three projects that we will begin work on.

Familiar Faces

We have a responsibility to care for our familiars, a duty to protect the vulnerable. For too long, the magic community has turned a blind eye to the illegal trafficking and trade of endangered familiars.

The Loss of Habitats for Endangered Familiars

Whether it’s climate change, deforestation, or planar entropy, many familiars are losing their natural habitat. Familiars fleeing from this destruction risk being abducted by shady mages trying to make a quick dollar.

OUI Fund Response - Druid Team Six

The OUI Fund will apparate highly skilled druids to affected regions, to aid in reforestation and planar reconstruction projects. While we are hoping that our response to this issue can be peaceful, Druid Team Six is instructed not to back down if Familiar Poachers try to interfere with their work.

Our Friend From Queens

Le Havre OUI Fund has already been aided on this issue by Lalani O’Deorain. Lalani cares deeply about the issues faced by magical creatures, and has recently worked with the Adoption of Magical Beasts Foundation. We are certain Lalani will be a huge help to Druid Team Six.

JOWL Global

With the return to prominence of Ludomancy, and the disparity of representation in the OWL League, we hope to foster the growth of Ludomancy around the globe. To achieve this, we will help schools and communities build Apprentice level Ludomancy arenas. This will foster the sport at a young age, grow the talent pool, and encourage the creation of new teams around the globe.

Are these school children the future of Ludomancy? We hope so! We just hope those are regulation jack-o-lanterns!

“But I don’t want my child to learn about curses”

All Apprentice Level Ludomancy arenas will play the game without curses, to allow each and every parent to make the decision on when they will teach their child about the cruel realities of the world.

Our Friend From Queens

We are also proud to announce that Reza Bacigalupi is working with the Le Havre OUI Fund. Reza adores children, and is a great mentor to aspiring witches around the globe.

Banish Conjurative Managitis

Conjurative Managitis is a misunderstood disease. No, you can’t contract it by conjuring near someone that has it. We don’t fully understand how it’s contracted, or why it seems to sap the magical strength from its victims. While some make full recoveries, others are left near magicless. We are happy to see that a short rest at home has seen a full recovery for Maryam Cruz, and we are glad that even if she didn’t decide to return to Le Havre that she has established herself in Hollywood.

But we still see that writing on the wall, Conjurative Managitis is the silent dispeller, creeping through the magic community and leaving the best of us without a cantrip to count on. We stand resolute, we need to understand and learn to better treat Conjurative Managitis.

But We Can’t Do This Without You

We can start these works, but we need help from our fans and from the league. First, consider reaching out to a Le Havre OUI Fund representative about volunteer opportunities. With operations around the globe, there’s plenty of work to go around.

Second, if you are unable to volunteer your time for one of these projects, consider a monetary donation.

Third, stream the “Say OUI to Giving EP” on repeat. To date, our charity song has been streamed over two million times, raising $50.00 for the OUI Fund!
