Hand of the Lady

It's never a dull moment for the Hand of a Ludomancy Lady. As the General Manager of the Ludomancy Club, you'll have multiple hats you'll have to wear throughout the season. One minute you may be weighing the benefits & risks to sending your magicians out on a quest, the next you may be chatting with your Head Sage to figure out what holes in your lineup need to be filled, and who can fill them. Your title may imply service to your Lady, but you are also at the service of your Club, and to Ludomancy itself.

Quests

Proposing a Quest is the primary action of a Hand. Once per Match Day, you may Propose a Quest that your Club will attempt to complete. You will then select a number of Magicians to be a part of the Quest. The next day you will find out how the Quest fared. Quests can offer a variety of benefits, but they are also not without risk. Any Quest has the possibility of injuring a Magician, even to the point of being unable to play future matches!

Hands will have access to a Quest Form where they will have a number of quests they can select from (Adventurous players may also discuss with OWL League Officials the possibility of custom Quests). These Quests will have the following format:

  • Quest Title: Host a Ludomancy Club Festival

  • Description: A Festival will be held to celebrate the team! Magicians on this Quest will be meeting and greeting fans.

  • Reward: Money, Team Popularity

  • Relevant Stats: Popularity

The Results of the Quest will be partially based on the Relevant Stats for all magicians participating in the Quest. The next day you'll receive information on the results of the Quest. Some of the Quests may even make it into The Daily Horoscope.

Quests may vary throughout the season, so be sure to discuss your options with your Lady and Head Sage to figure out which Quest is Best.

Team Management

Throughout the season you or your Head Sage may find that your team needs a shakeup. You'll be in charge of adding, dropping, and trading Magicians throughout the season.

Dropping Players

If you feel that you no longer need the services of a Magician, you may drop them from your team. When dropping a Magician, your Club will pay 1/4 of that Magician's salary. Additionally, a Team may never have less than 8 Magicians on their roster.

Hands should also note that dropping players may have adverse affects on your Club, such as a decline in your Club's popularity.

Trades

Hands may issue a Trade Request to another team in the League. They may offer Magicians on their roster, money, or gems in exchange. Additional considerations can be made as a part of a trade, such as voting or action promises, but promissory items are not enforceable by OWL League Officials.

Note: Trade Requests that including Money and Gems should be offered with agreement from your Club Lady. OWL Officials will be doing their best to validate requests, but Officials will be using their best judgement on if a Trade should be processed without confirmation from a Club Leader. Acting in bad faith with your team may result in disciplinary action from OWL Officials. You are playing as part of a team and your actions should not be such that it would undermine the efforts of others on your team.

Further details will be provided around Trade Restrictions and rules.

Free Agency Acquisitions

A Magician may be acquired from the list of Magicians that are not associated to a team. To Request a magician players may issue a Salary Offer for that magician. After the Match Day Deadline OWL Officials will review all Salary Offers. If your offer is the highest, the magician will be added to your offer.

If acquiring a magician would put you over your Club's roster limit you will be asked to drop a magician. Your team will still pay the 1/4 of the dropped Magician's Salary.
